Karen Knotts, Don Knotts daughter, returns in 2016 with her “Knott, Knotts; Who’s there?” getting to know the man behind Barney Fife show Fri & Sat. Tickets $10. Karen will also serve as our Honorary Parade Marshall.
Mingle with the Mayberry Tribute Artists who entertain folks during the two-day event. Headlining is David Browning, The Mayberry Deputy, who for the last 27 years has portrayed the infamous Barney Fife all over America. Tribute Artists slated to return: Allan "Floyd" Newsome, Tim “Goober” Pettigrew, Phil “Ernest T. Bass” Lee, Kenneth “Otis Campbell” Junkin, Bob “Briscoe Darling” Mundy, Christie “Andylina” McLendon, Michael "Gomer" Oliver, and Keith "Col. Harvey" Brown.
Also one of the weekend highlights will be a Blue Grass concert on Saturday at the Westminster Music Hall. Relive an afternoon of entertainment in Mayberry. Enjoy the downhome music of the Trinity River Band (Free Event, Listen).
Several other venues are planned along with two Mayberry Parades Saturday, a Car Show, Jr. Miss, Miss & Mrs. Mayberry pageants, a whistling and trivia contest, arts and craft displays, food venues, a Bible study and much more.
